Jill spills: Dear Arnold Schwarzenegger…

Dear Arnold Schwarzenegger,

As an empowerment coach for teens, young adults, and parents, it’s imperative I walk my talk. I value and teach the power of acknowledgement and appreciation for others. No matter who you are, it feels good and causes good. From family, friends, teachers, a stranger who holds the door open, a person volunteering to help clean up the planet, or a person helping a stranger or an animal in crisis. It’s one of the greatest gifts we can give to the world, our acknowledgment and appreciation. Words tell, actions show. Today, Arnold, you’re on my radar to do just that.

It would be easy to not acknowledge and appreciate you because of who you are, knowing you receive heaps of positive shoutouts, but that’s not the point. The point is taking the time to acknowledge those who are contributing positively to the world. And to keep this positive energy alive and expanding. So, with that said, let me walk my talk.

Throughout my life as a strong female, fierce athlete and a true champion for teens and young adults, you have stood as a sturdy and stellar example of positivity, strength, and discipline.

Your new Netflix series is an absolute must-watch and must-share. I share it with everyone I know, especially my students because it’s so useful and is infused with lifelong empowerment tools. I’ve watched it 4 times and gleaned something new each time. Your journey is a testament to what I call, "The Dynamic Duo: Desire and Discipline." Your embodiment of these qualities is unparalleled: Personally, professionally, and in your pursuit to lift the world.

What I admire about your Netflix series is it showcases not only your journey to success, but also your failures. Your willingness to take full responsibility and accountability reminds us that you are human and imperfect, just like the rest of us. Your resilience in the face of hardships encourages us to own our failures, get back up, and do better. How we respond to inevitable setbacks will define our character and our path forward. I must also acknowledge, and honor the strength, grace, and wisdom of Maria. She is an extraordinary person, woman, mother, and an exceptional leader.

Here are the 3-takeaways from your series that will forever empower our lives:

Be Useful:

The idea of not overthinking and feeling, but instead being useful resonated with me so profoundly that it changed my mindset in an instant and changed my daily routine overnight. You have used your power and influence to be a force of good in the world. Your actions inspire us to contribute to the well-being of our communities and make a positive difference in any way we can. Thank you for being useful!

Have a Vision:

Your ability to envision what you desire, and then pursue it relentlessly demonstrates that a clear and well-defined vision can carry us through the toughest of times and keep us focused on reaching our goals. You motivate us to never give up on making our aspirations a reality. Forget dreaming, and instead focus on our visions!

Make Your Vision Your Goal:

The key to your ever-evolving success has been your commitment to the alignment of your visions and goals. Your desire, discipline, hard work, and dedication motivates us to channel our energy toward what truly matters, paving the way for a healthy, positive, and purposeful life. This reminds me of the quote: “Pain of regret or pain of discipline…” by Jim Rohn.

Arnold, you ignite fires within us, and we want to lift the world with the same enthusiasm and determination you live by. Your iconic phrase, "I'll be back," has become synonymous with resilience and perseverance. Your actions have proven that with a clear vision, and goals, anything is possible, no matter how insurmountable the odds may seem.

I acknowledge your life path with deep gratitude and appreciate how you deliberately choose to add to the greater good every single day. I am proud to count myself as one of your true supporters, a member of your Pump Club & The Pump app, and will champion your message of lifting the world with positivity and purpose.

Thank you for continuing to pump me up so that I may pass your pump of positivity onto my students and their families for a lifetime of empowerment.

P.s. I clearly envision meeting you one day soon with the goal of sincerely thanking you for leading by example. See you soon! 😀
